Janathon Day 3

So, despite best intentions, I missed out on the run with the others from the running club. I was worried about running the 5 or so miles with them making my legs too tired for the rest of the week’s runs.

Again I put it off until just gone 7pm when I couldn’t leave it any longer. It was good to go out and get some fresh air and Tonyparkrunner was happy to cycle along beside me as I jogged along.

I did the same route again today as I did yesterday, except today I was able to run the whole 2 miles without walking. I know that this doesn’t sound like much to other runners but I was really happy with it. Although my calves were really aching from yesterday I felt like I was starting to improve.

I am planning to run straight after work tomorrow (although I never seem to stick to my plan) when hopefully there will still be a bit of light outside. This means that I will be able to run a different route which will take me up towards the school and passed the fields with sheep in (do sheep stay in the fields in winter?).

Stats:

Distance: 2.03 miles

Time: 24:18

Average Pace: 11:58

Best Pace: 8:12

Calories: 250

Hey sooozie, I’m with you there…being able to jog continuously for more than 7 or 8 mins is a v recent achievement for me too. Good luck with your plan – mine is to go before work tomorrow, I’m sure I’ll end up doing it after tho!

I can’t wait to hear if the sheep will be there! Make sure you stretch well if you’re aching. Just think how far you will be able to run non-stop by the end of the month! Well done x

well done on getting out there!

Keep drinking lots of water to help re-hydration on those muscles.

    Good luck with Janathon!

I know what you mean with the whole procrastination thing – it’s so funny coz you know you will feel great once you complete the run (well… mostly) but sometimes you just cant pick yourself up and do it. keep up the good work though
