I started running on 11th January 2010. My sister
badgered encouraged me to join the local running club where she was already a member as they had organised an 8 week course for beginners. It was very cold, wet and icy but I somehow managed to stick at it. I went from running and walking for only a couple of minutes at a time to running for, well, a bit longer than that, at the end of the 8 weeks. I have now been running for almost 12 months now and I have met a lot of really friendly people at the running club so I am definitely glad that I joined up (thanks Sarah).
This is me at the Cambridge parkrun (the one on the right with the awkward running style). Hopefully this will improve next year!
