Janathon Day 2

For the second day in a row I didn’t manage to get up early enough for a morning run. I ended up spending the whole day sat on my sofa with my laptop trying to finish off some work off and eating chocolate, so not great preparation for an evening run.

I managed to get out at about 7pm this evening and went for a run with Tonyparkrunner. It followed most of the route from yesterday but chose to avoid the bit passed the pubs as there were a few people hanging around outside there yesterday. I was hoping that I would find the run much easier today – I still struggled a bit but I managed to run the whole way back from town to my house.

I am hoping to run with some of the others from the running club tomorrow – it will be nice to meet up with them and to run a different route.

The idea of jogging sounds good but the actual fact of doing it takes so much effort…he he he. I am in the same boat as you. It takes so much mental convincing to go out but it is well worth it. Keep it up 🙂

I always find chocolate and crisps are great preparation too. I then feel I have to go out running to work them off and so I don’t feel guilty. And an even better post-race snack – nothing to feel guilty about then.
