Janathon Day 6

I had planned to run at lunch time today. The sun was finally trying to shine through and the wind had dropped, but just as what happened in the Janathon 2011, I kept putting the run off as I was struggling to find the motivation to get out there again.

I put it off until 7pm. I finally got into my running gear and headed out for my usual run into town and back. It was my first run this year that I had run on my own. I didn’t really like being out there by myself, just in case anything happened, and I missed having someone there to encourage me to keep going, but it did mean that I wanted to get it over and done with so I picked up the pace a little bit. I admire all those people who are able to regularly go out and run by themselves, it is something that I really struggle to do.

So, only another mile added to my total so far but will hopefully add another 3 tomorrow when I do the Cambridge parkrun.

Distance: 1.3 miles

Time: 13:25

Ave Pace: 10:17

Well done on getting out there! In Janathon, though, you never run alone (to misquote Gerry and the Pacemakers) because somewhere in the world you can be pretty sure that another blogger is doing precisely the same thing.
