Janathon Day 29

Email from parkrun:  Congratulations on completing your 12th parkrun and your 12th at Cambridge today. You finished in 185th place and were the 59th lady out of a field of 218 parkrunners and you came 9th in your age category SW25-29.
Congratulations on setting a new Personal Best by 00:48 seconds at Cambridge parkrun!

I am really happy with my time today and a little bit surprised. Most of the BRJ runners today either wore their tutus or bumble bee outfits and took cakes to help celebrate Cambridge parkrun’s first birthday. Speedy Sue ran with me again today and kept me going at a good pace. I even overtook a few people which is very rare for me. I did find it hard and I don’t think that I could have gone any faster, but hopefully I will be able to next week after a well earned rest day! This is the first time in ages though that I have felt like my running is improving and I am sure that this is all down to the Janathon.

Hopefully I will be able to reach my target of at least 60 miles by the end of the month (even though I have had too many really short runs). So far I have done 54.6 miles in the Janathon so I will have to do a proper run tomorrow before running with the club again on Monday.

Distance: 3.03 miles (5km)

Time: 32:12 (or 32:20 according to parkrun)

Pace: 10:38

Well done on PB. How nice you get an email with all your stats, 59th lady thats brilliant. Wish there was a PR near me, infact Cambridge is the nearest one but that 40 plus minutes away, too far for me to do regular, maybe one day

Brilliant. 48 seconds off your pb after 29 consecutive runs. Just think what you’ll do after a rest day!

Oh well done on Janathon, the park run and a new personal best. 48 seconds off is brilliant. I hope you had a little celebration to mark the occasion.
