Janathon Day 28

Today was a busy day. Once again I had to make the 140 mile round trip to college so that I could hand in an assignment. After that I had to go straight to work and I made it there just in time for lunch. We had a buffet lunch today as it was my friend’s last day at work before going on maternity leave (and I felt a little sad at the end of the day as she won’t be back for a whole year!). The afternoon was mostly spent helping her carry all of her stuff down to the car and preparing for my site visit next week, so all in all I didn’t really get time to get much proper work done.

I was so tired when I got home and I fell asleep on the sofa while watching Hollyoaks. I was already in my running stuff so I was ready to go for a run pretty much as soon as I woke up. It was freezing out there and the sky was really clear so all of the stars were out. I slowly ran up the road to the bridge and turned back round to head for home. Tonight’s run actually felt pretty easy – I can’t remember the last time I felt like that.

I didn’t want to run any further as I am really  hoping to have a good run tomorrow at the Cambridge parkrun. As it is the Cambridge parkrun’s first birthday a few of us from the BRJ running club will be wearing fancy dress and taking cakes. I have managed to dig out my pink tutu from the bottom of the wardrobe and tonyparkrunner has made the flapjack, so I am all ready for the early start tomorrow. A PB would be the icing on the cake!
